The mortgage market is complex to navigate for first-time buyers.

THE CHALLENGE

Yomo is a new digital mortgage broker created with a clear mission: to empower millennials and younger audiences who are navigating the mortgage process for the first time or considering remortgaging. Yomo understood the need to have a clear message and identity that brought clarity to life in this market.

THE APPROACH

Our discovery led to three clearly defined markets that Yomo wanted to tap into. We also established that ‘no-fuss, no-jargon’ was key to the brand. The core of Yomo was to be digital-first, bring clarity, and put decision-making into the hands of the buyers.

After establishing the foundation of the brand, we developed a short, snappy name that connected with the consumer and the narrative. 

THE CHALLENGE

We established Yomo – Your mortgage, your move; simple, clear and direct. With this, we’re putting the decision in the hands of the buyer and giving them ownership over the process.

Recognising that each individual is different, we created a brand pattern out of individual geometric shapes to represent these people and bring them together to form a community of Yomo-ers.

The logo and visual identity system were simple and crafted around the idea of clarity, ensuring everything was clearly seen and understood.

We used a variety of blues and lilacs for the colour palette. These colours are digital-first and bring a sense of vibrancy, youthfulness and engagement to the identity.

The support mechanism we developed provides maximum dynamism and can be used as containments, call-to-action highlights and in a variety of orientations and lockups.

Our project with Pip was an absolute joy! From day one, they got what we were trying to do – create a fresh, digital-first mortgage brand that felt approachable and modern. They took us through a brilliant scope session, helped us land on the perfect name (hello, Yomo!), and brought it to life with a bold and creative brand identity.
