Partnering with the University of Southampton we played a pivotal role in transforming complex research into an accessible, user-friendly resource. This initiative aimed to support parents navigating the challenges of managing their child’s chronic pain while ensuring that children could also engage with the material.
THE CHALLENGE
We developed an interactive eBook complete with information sheets and forms to assist parents of children with chronic pain, life-limiting, and life-threatening illnesses.
THE SOLUTION
We transformed a comprehensive research study into a clear, accessible format in both print and digital versions. Our team created a light, clean visual style with a carefully crafted colour palette that aligned with the branding of the two key organisations, ensuring a cohesive and welcoming feel. To enhance engagement, we developed custom illustrations that reflected user diversity and designed over 40 physiotherapy diagrams from scratch, providing parents and children with easy-to-follow, step-by-step exercise guidance.
To further improve usability, we integrated interactive features such as content filtering for quick navigation to relevant advice and form functionality that allowed parents and children to complete sections digitally. This ensured they could take personalised inputs to appointments for tailored discussions. The result is a widely appreciated resource that has become invaluable for families managing chronic pain, empowering them with practical, research-backed solutions.
