GroceryAid has been a cornerstone of the grocery industry for decades, providing vital emotional, practical and financial support to colleagues across the sector. Following a period of strategic development with brand partners, GroceryAid entered an exciting new chapter with a refined brand positioning, updated messaging and a refreshed visual identity. The challenge was no longer in defining the brand. It was in bringing it to life, consistently, across everything.
THE CHALLENGE
With a newly evolved brand in place and an ambitious programme of activity ahead, GroceryAid needed a trusted creative partner to embed within their marcomms team and deliver. Not an agency at arm’s length, but an extension of their own team. Someone who could absorb the brand, work at pace and produce a high volume of quality creative output across campaigns, events and communications, without the thinking having to start from scratch every time.
THE APPROACH
Our relationship with GroceryAid stretches back to 2018, and over the years we have supported them across a range of event collateral and creative projects. So when the opportunity came to formalise that relationship as a retained creative partner, it felt like a natural progression for both teams.
We began by working closely with the delivery team to fully understand the new brand positioning, tone of voice and visual guidelines. From there, we moved quickly into production, partnering directly with the GroceryAid marcomms team to apply the brand consistently and confidently across an extensive range of touchpoints.
THE WORK
The breadth of output has been significant. Across six months of retained support, we have delivered creative across three core areas.
For the events programme, we produced the GroceryAid 2026 Events Brochure, a showcase of their full calendar of flagship and challenger events. We devised and delivered a suite of ten event logos, covering challenger events as well as flagship properties including the Sporting Lunch and the GroceryAid Ball, giving each event its own distinct identity within the wider brand family. Most recently, we have been working on the creative campaign for Barcode Festival, GroceryAid’s flagship awareness event taking place at Kenwood House in July 2026. This has included DOOH screen executions, social assets and campaign creative designed to drive attendance and engagement across the industry.
Across campaigns, we supported the rollout of two national awareness campaigns designed to raise the profile of GroceryAid and engage colleagues across the grocery sector, encouraging those who may benefit from support to reach out. Campaign assets spanned OOH, large format digital screens, paid social and print for industry publications and magazines.
Alongside this, we have developed a full suite of brand-applied assets covering internal and external communications, including the GroceryAid Credentials Deck, welfare information materials, marketing assets, business collateral and partner communications.
WHAT THIS MEANS
This client is a clear example of what it means to be a true creative extension of a client team. The strategy and identity were already in place. Our job was to make sure the brand showed up with consistency, clarity and purpose across every single output, no matter the channel, the audience or the deadline.
For a charity with GroceryAid’s reach and ambition, that kind of reliable, embedded creative support makes a real difference to what the team can achieve. We are proud to be part of that effort and to be helping them reach the people across the grocery industry who need them most.
Working with Pip is a great experience for us. They’re so creative. They’ve got really great strategic minds that bring their ideas to life and help us achieve what we want to achieve. They’re great support for us and an extension of our team.
