Teaching Sleep for Life

The Sleep Charity asked us to build on the momentum of last year’s Children’s Sleep Awareness Month and take it further.

For 2026, the focus shifted from awareness alone to education. Teaching children and young people how sleep works, why it matters, and how to build healthy habits that last.

At the heart of the campaign was a simple idea. If we want better sleep outcomes, we need to start earlier. That meant creating content that felt credible and reassuring to parents and educators, while genuinely engaging children and teens on their own terms.

We developed a full suite of campaign collateral designed to work across schools, homes, and digital channels. This included social graphics tailored to different age ranges, from younger children through to teenagers, alongside a series of information videos. A central piece was a 2.5 minute film created specifically for use in school assemblies, while also working seamlessly across social platforms.

Alongside this, we produced a range of printed and digital resources that could be used by teachers, parents, and supporters. These assets were designed to be practical, clear, and easy to integrate into everyday routines. Everything came together in a supporters’ resource pack and a set of direct to consumer assets that helped families engage with sleep education at home.

Visually, the campaign was designed as a flexible system. We used a consistent colour palette to create cohesion across the month, but introduced different graphic styles depending on age group. This allowed the content to feel age appropriate without fragmenting the wider brand. Crucially, the campaign also connected clearly with The Sleep Charity’s broader work outside of Children’s Sleep Awareness Month, reinforcing a long term, joined up approach to sleep education.

The result was a campaign that felt educational without being preachy, playful without losing authority, and practical enough to make a real difference. By focusing on teaching sleep, not just talking about it, Children’s Sleep Awareness Month 2026 helped equip children and young people with knowledge they can carry forward for life.
